Summary:

Informal Aquetuck lithofacies of earlier report assigned formal member status in Schoharie Formation. Composed of calcareous siltstone with minor argillaceous limestone and calcareous sandy mudstone. Chert present within member in upper Mid-Hudson Valley, but diminishes rapidly toward south as subunit becomes vaguely banded and limier. Thickness 30 to 45 ft. Underlies Saugerties Member and overlies Carlisle Center Member (both revised). Passes laterally into Rickard Hill Member (new). Age is Middle Devonian.
