Summary:

Pg. 153-154. Angelina series. Later Eocene deposits of Texas coastal plain. Overlies Camden series (earlier Eocene) and underlies Neocene. Includes Lufkin deposits (Yegua), Fayette sands, and Fleming clays (Frio clays). Thickness as given by Kennedy 1,407 feet.
[GNC remark (ca. 1936, US geologic names lexicon, USGS Bull. 896, p. 54): Tertiary †Angelina series abandoned. Probably named from Angelina Co. or Angelina River, eastern TX.]
