Pg. 53. According to Damon (1965, Reports to Atomic Energy Comm. by Univ. of Arizona) Stage 1 Anderson Mesa lava flow has K-Ar date of 6.2 +/-1.2 m.y. (Pliocene). [Damon, 1965, referred to the basalt flows on Anderson Mesa but did not use formal term Anderson Mesa Flow].
