Summary:

Inmachuk map area covers 110 sq mi in northern Seward Peninsula, 10 mi north of Kotzebue Sound and 25 mi southwest of Deering, Seward Peninsula, AK. [no type designated] Two types of granite are described: Asses Ears and American Creek (both new). American Creek is medium-grained, subhedral granular granite composed of perthitic orthoclase, oligoclase, biotite, and minor sphene. Alteration limited to minor seritization of oligoclase and chloritization of albite. Granite is surrounded by narrow contact metamorphic aureole no more than few tens of feet wide. Is Mesozoic(?) age.
