Summary:

†Agoniatite limestone, †Agoniatites limestone. Paleontologic terms applied in some early New York reports to a limestone occurring at a lower horizon in Marcellus shale than Stafford limestone. Disappears west of Seneca Lake. Most fully developed in eastern New York counties 20 to 30 feet above base of Marcellus.
