Summary:

Pg. 143-146, pl. 14. Agate Bay group. Succession of relatively very thin beds with very highly vesicular stratiform amygdaloids, which must make up two-thirds of group; includes thin seams of reddish sandstones and conglomerates. Overlies Lester River group and underlies Beaver Bay group, all included in Keweenaw series. Age is Precambrian (Keweenawan).
Exposed on Agate Bay, northeast of Duluth, St. Louis Co., northeastern MN.
