Type section: in Catlin Mill Creek at Odessa (elevation 1,030 ft) and east of Montour Twp., central NY. Traced southeastward to Chenango Forks, 38 mi southeast of Ithaca, NY (Sutton and others, 1962).


AAPG geologic province:

Appalachian basin
