Johns Creek Member of Middlesex Shale (NY)
Late Devonian
Named from exposures about 900 ft below the Camas Prairie, at confluence of Johns Creek and Rock Creek, 1 mi northwest of Tolo Lake, central NY. Well exposed in adjoining canyons and traceable for many miles along Snake and Salmon Rivers (Bond, 1963).
