Named the Echo Pond granitic complex for Echo Pond, Island Pond area, VT. Complex contains a variety of igneous rocks in which granite dominates; also contains rocks of gabbroic and dioritic nature. The Echo Pond measures 8 miles by 7 miles in the west-central portion of study area. Metasedimentary rocks enclose the complex to the north and east. The Echo Pond is of Devonian age.
