Summary:

Pg. 331, 347. St. Joseph limestone. Massive limestone 200 or more feet thick, forming lower part of St. Francois limestone in southeastern Missouri. Underlies Potosi limestone and overlies La Motte [Lamotte] sandstone. [Age is Late Cambrian.]
[Named from mines of St. Joseph Lead Company near Fredericktown, southeast of Mine La Motte, eastern edge of Fredericktown quadrangle, scale 1:48,000, Madison Co., eastern MO.]
