New Haven Arkose of Newark Supergroup (CT*,MA*)
Several designated to show facies variations, all in New Haven Co., CT: (1) west slope of West Rock Ridge; (2) north end of Whitney Avenue, Hamden; (3) Hartford Turnpike next to New Haven Country Club; (4) quarries of Fair Haven; (5) Roaring Brook; (6) Hanover Pond south of Meriden (Krynine, 1950).

Named New Haven Arkose of Newark Group (Krynine, 1950).
Overview (Schnabel, 1960).
Extended into Massachusetts (Colton and Hartshorn, 1966).
Age (Cornet, 1977).
MA State Geol. Map usage (Zen and others, 1983).
Assigned to the Newark Supergroup (Robinson and Luttrell, 1985).
CT State Geol. Map usage (Rodgers, 1985).
