Crops out on the north and west slopes of Mount Hitchcock, Holyoke Range, Mount Holyoke quadrangle, Hampshire Co., MA (Robinson and Luttrell, 1985).

First used (Bain, 1941). Named (Brophy and others, 1967). Revised; Age modified (Robinson and Luttrell, 1985).
