Type section (subsurface): depth-interval 1,350 to 3,900 ft, Topagoruk Test Well No.1 [now plugged and abandoned], approx. 72 mi S. 14 deg. E. of Point Barrow, Lat. 70 deg. 37 min. 30 sec. N., Long. 155 deg. 33 min. 36 sec. W., northern AK (Robinson and others, 1956).
