Additional reference localities at Flor pit, in NW/4 SW/4 sec. 7, T. 18 S., R. 4 W., and Hammann pit, in NE/4 SW/4 sec. 31, T. 18 S., R. 4 W. (Semken, 1966).
Named from exposures in McPherson Co., southwestern KS (Haworth and Beede, 1897).
