Summary:

Pg. 1895, 1901-1902. Ames monzodiorite listed in chronology of White Mountain magma series as older than Endicott diorite (new) and younger than Gilmanton monzodiorite (new). Described as gray medium-grained monzodiorite composed primarily of feldspar and hornblende, with some biotite. Suggested age is Devonian or Carboniferous.
Occupies small area northwest of Ames station, Belknap Mountains, NH.
