Forms prominent light-gray cliff at top of Mural Hill, Bisbee quadrangle. Named from Mural Hill, northeast of Bisbee in T. 23 S., R. 24 E., Cochise Co., AZ. (Ransome, 1904).
Principal reference section (composite): lower member in NE/4 NE/4 sec. 10, T. 23 S., R. 24 E.; upper member in SW/4 SE/4 sec. 12, T. 23 S., R. 24 E., Cochise Co., AZ (Hayes, 1970a).
