Quarry at the Joplin Marble Quarries Company, on left bank of Shoal Creek, half a mile or so (0.8 km) below Grand Falls, 3 mi (4.8 km) southwest of town of Joplin, Jasper Co., MO (McKnight and Fischer, 1970).
