Reference section: along Salmon River, south edge of secs. 22, 23, and 24, T. 11 N., R. 17 E., Highway 93, 2 mi west of Clayton, Custer Co., ID (Hobbs and others, 1968).
Reference section: in Arco Hills, 3.5 mi east-northeast of Arco, in SW/4 SW/4 sec. 27, T. 4 N., R. 27 E., Butte Co., ID (Oakes and James, 1980).
