Named from ruins of old fort near Casa Blanca Canyon, Patagonia Mountains, southeastern AZ (Stoyanow, 1949).
Reference section: between El Pilar Tank in Adobe Canyon, in SE/4 NW/4 sec. 24, T. 20 S., R. 15 E., and triangulation marker YOUNG on the east side of Hog Canyon, Santa Rita Mountains, southern Pima and northern Santa Cruz Cos., southeastern AZ (Drewes, 1968).
