Type section: in Spring Canyon, in NW/4 SE/4 SE/4 sec. 7, T. 23 S., R. 24 E., Escabrosa Ridge, Mule Mountains, Bisbee quadrangle, Cochise Co., southeastern AZ (Hayes and Landis, 1965).
