Type section: About 3 km northwest of upper Davis Spring in SE/4 sec. 20, T. 16 N., R. 51 E., northern Antelope Range, Eureka Co., NV. Named from Upper Davis Spring, which is 3 km SE of type section (Hose and others, 1982).
