Type section: exposure on north side of South Boone Creek where steep-sided tributary enters main creek, in NE/2 SW/4 sec. 5, T. 47 N., R. 117 W., Grassy Lake Reservoir 15-min quadrangle, Teton Co., WY. Named from exposures near Conant Creek (Christiansen and Love, 1978).
Reference section: south face of hill 8373 in SE/4 SW/4 sec. 16, T. 47 N., R. 117 W. (Christiansen and Love, 1978).
