Type section (in Pottsville Formation reference section): in roadcut on east side of U.S. Highway 122, about 150 feet farther east that original type section of Pottsville which is on eastern side of Pennsylvania Railroad cut through water gap south of Pottsville, Schuylkill Co., PA (Wood and others, 1956).
