Vicinity of Millersburg, northeastern Bourbon Co., KY (Foerste, 1914). Reference section in roadcut on Athens-Boonesboro road, 0.4 mi northwest of interchange with I-75, Coletown quadrangle, Fayette Co., KY (Black and others, 1965).
Unit Name History:
Named Millersburg member of Cynthiana formation (Foerste, 1914). Revised to a division of Cynthiana formation (McFarlan and White, 1948) [From GNC index card files; not synopsized]. Used as a member of Cynthiana formation (Hamilton, 1950) [From GNC index card files; not synopsized]. Revised to Millersburg Member of Lexington Limestone; Principal reference section (Black and others, 1965). Contacts revised (Black and Cuppels, 1973). Age modified; Overview (Cressman, 1973).
