Type section: north of Vernal from sec. 7, T. 3 S., R. 22 E., northward to gorge of Brush Creek near northwest corner of sec. 32, T. 2 S., R. 22 E. and west of Vernal-Manila Highway, Uintah Co., UT. Named from Stanaker Draw, eastern Uintah Co., UT (Thomas and Krueger, 1946).
