Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Named from village [of Reagan, 10 mi north of Tishomingo, in Tishomingo quadrangle, Johnston Co., central southern OK], which is situated near the small area of the formation on north side of the granite (Taff, 1903).
Type section: about 5 mi southwest of village of Mill Creek, Johnston Co., central southern OK (Decker, 1939).
