Summary:

[Misspelled throughout report as Kendall Green Formation; should be Kendal Green Formation.] Rocks mapped as Kendall [sic] Green Formation by Nelson (1974) are included here and on State bedrock geologic map (Zen and others, 1983) in a Proterozoic Z unnamed unit of metamorphosed mafic to felsic flow, volcaniclastic, and hypabyssal intrusive rocks. Author doesn't see enough evidence to treat these rocks as a valid formation; rather, they are a zone of distinct sheet-like intrusions and cataclasis. [Name is not abandoned. Chapters A-J in U.S. Geological Survey Professional Paper 1366 are intended as explanations and (or) revisions to 1:250,000-scale MA State bedrock geologic map of Zen and others (1983).]
