Summary:

Named Devil's Hollow division of the upper Lexington limestone. Proposed for post-Woodburn "Perryville" of the upper Lexington limestone in Frankfort-Versailles area. Term Perryville formerly applied to these beds is a synonym of Benson. The 25 feet at type section includes 15 feet of "Faulconer" rock and 10 ft of "Salvisa." Regarded as a facies of upper Woodburn and probably also lowermost Cynthiana.

Summary:

The Devils Hollow Member of the Lexington Limestone consists of 15 feet of coarse-grained, gastropod coquina overlain by 10 feet of micritic limestone containing ostracodes. Unit also includes brachiopods and pelecypods. Conformably overlies and intertongues with the Tanglewood Limestone Member of the Lexington and underlies the Millersburg Member of the Lexington. The environment of deposition is interpreted to be shallow subtidal to intertidal.
